Step by step - Drawing girls in Western classical style UwU

Have you ever heard “Fine feathers make a fine bird”? This proverb means beautiful clothes confer beauty or status on the wearer. It is the reason why fashion has become a favourite of women in any age of history. Today I will show you how to draw girls in classic Western clothes. Enjoy :>

Step 1: Draw some circles to define the head, chest, hip. For the hip, we can draw a diamond shape instead.



Step 2: Draw some straight lines and small circles to determine the joints and pose for the characters.



Step 3: "Add flesh" or draw the final anatomy based on the previous sketch, because both are female chars, so draw the body with softer lines.



Step 4: Draw clothes based on anatomy. To determine the folds, it is necessary to pay attention to the movements / postures of the character to draw the folds so that it is natural. Pay attention to the drop of the skirt.

 

Step 5: Hide the anatomy/ sketch layer, leaving only the clean and completed lineart:>



Step 6: Proceed to base the color, based on the available reference. The base color is mixed with dark and light (as shown in the picture) so that the picture is not boring :>



Step 7: Shade the details to make the picture more prominent/vivid. Still, keep in mind that places like hair and clothes folds should be shaded darker UwU
